lol oh boy, yea Im done reasoning with you. Two consenting adults can do as they please. Pyromania, beastiality and pedophilia hurts others in many different ways. How do gay people harm you or anyone? Terrible comparisons.

Why not call it an illness? Because it might offend somebody? What about Pediohpiles? What about Pyromania? Beastiality? Those are illnesses related to the way people think. Should they get a pass too?
Yes, I do have a friend who is a lesbian, and she knows how I feel about it, and she respects my opinion. But in knowing her as long as I have, I also see other underlying issues in her personality that have a big influence,.. mental instability, anxiety disorder, fear of men from an overbearing father, etc. And if you look at it from that perspective, you might pick up on it when interacting with others in the LGBT community.
Why not call it an illness... because its not. Not the same as pedophiles, pyros and beastiality.
And because you have a friend that is a lesbian that makes you an expert, and because this lesbian has mental issues, makes all gays have mental issues? I know plenty of straight men who have mental issues beyond repair, (im quoting one in this reply) and yet that doesnt make all straight people sick.

Well same sex marriage is not natural either. Let's call it what it is, a mental illness
I'm curious to know what you would do if you had a child that grew up and told you they were gay/lesbian/transgender. Send them to anti-gay camp? Would you never speak to them again? Let me know.
Other than that, I'm done.
Oh, at the next funeral of a gay person you protest at wearing your god hates fags t-shirt, make sure to bring sunscreen cause of global warming and shit.

Yes two consenting adults can do as they please, but it's not a marriage.

Look in the mirror,...
You can sit here and try to justify the "feel good" notions of "What's normal?" and what should be accepted as normal. But in reality it's not a normal function of the human race, or nature in general, to pair off into non-reproductive pairs. By the examples of nature, these pairings would end through natural extinction from lack of reproduction.
And you can call me a horrible person for stating the facts as I see them, but you can't take away the facts of what I'm saying are true.

The same as I told my friend, I don't agree with it. And notice she is still my friend no less. Same as if it were my child, it would still be my child. And they would be free to make they're own choices.
Your last statement is hilarious though, you assume too much about me. But personal attacks are the norm for the left,.....

While Tom is pretty liberal, I know Pete is pretty far right wing, and im a little under that. Its funny though, because it seems only ultra right wing thinks gay marriage is an attack on everyone elses values.
While you dont have to agree its marriage, it will be law soon, so it wont matter what you think.

Its funny how you can deny science in one thread, but evolution through natural selection is ok with you... oh wait you probably dont believe that but just stated it.
Humans will not go extinct due to gay marriage. No one is forcing everyone to all of the sudden become gay. its just not a problem that modern society will see.
Like peter said, its not something you can stop, and you can fight it all you want, but it doesnt matter. It will get passed, and that will be the end of it.

But you would freely admit that your gay child would have a mental illness, right?

Pot, kettle, black. You assume I'm a lefty like Tom, but your assumption is dead wrong.
My personal attacks don't come from me being a lefty or righty. They come from me being an all-around 100% American asshole.

It's a slippery slope to call any of these an illness if you're willing to exclude others. People are often times born liking what they like out of no control of their own. Society is slowly becoming more accepting of things outside the norm so who's to say, for example, beastiality isn't next? All are unnatural, but there are still plenty of people who enjoy/crave/want/seek it.
