Yea my walmart only carried the super conventional and the M1. I just bought the conventional with a purulator filter, total cost for each oil change after rebate was in the $11 range.

Chris what does the super synthetic usually go for in a 5 quart jug?
About $17, basically splits the Super 5000 and Mobil 1.

Damn, really wish we had that locally, that'd be perfect. Mainly because I'd like to go 0W-xx for winter and that seems to only come in synthetic.

Oh well, I think I'll probably just rock the $6 jug of 5w-20 for the daily's :)

Very nice!

I just picked up two 5qt jugs of Pennzoil Platinum 0w-20 at Walmart last night for $25/ea (total of $50). I'll be submitting my rebate this weekend for $10 off each ($20 total). So $15 cost per jug in the end :) Going to use that for the oil changes here shortly for winter coming up. I like the 0W stuff for winter.

I'm going to go back to Walmart and get two jugs of the Mobil 5000 5w-20 for $13/ea. Submit that rebate this weekend as well for $7 off each, so those will cost roughly $6 per jug :D I'll just save that in the cabinet and use that for the spring oil change in the daily's.

I don't do the 3mo/3000mi. I do it every 6mo. Usually right around fall so I'm good for winter. Then usually in the spring right after winter.

I also run $3 Motorcraft filters now on all my cars. Very good price, and reviews put them up there with filters that cost twice as much.

Ch3apskate 4 lyf3 !

Oil Changed in the DD's! Pennzoil Platinum 0W-20 in both for upcoming cold season, with Motorcraft filters. Also picked up two jugs of 5w-20 Mobil Super 5000 for spring time oil changes. All rebates submitted :)

Very nice man! Motorcraft and ACDelco filters are both great values; OEM quality at generic prices. I'm running the Vette, Cruze, and Volt all on ACDelco filters. Another great oil filter value are the Purolator PureOne filters from Fleet Farm and Purolator Classic filters from Walmart.

Prime FTW!!! The filter arrived Sunday, and the oil Monday (Labor Day)! I probably won't do the oil change until November though when I hit the year mark on the current oil since the oil life indicator is still showing 43% after 6k miles.

Awesome!

I got the following discounts.
Discover - $2.56
Mobil1 - $30.00

Subtotal:
Oils(2 jugs) and 2 filters $51.26

Total cost: $18.70
Total savings: $32.56

Unfortunately, I still have to crawl under the cars and do the oil changes. Not bad for 2 vehicles though! I also didn't add tax but whatever.
