Is that the antifreeze kind of water, or rain type of water? Sucky in any case, good luck determining root cause.

Theory: Acid rain ate your seals and caused these leaks.

I will contemplate your theory in my favorite thinking spot... in my car revving the engine pinging the rev limiter next to a Prius.

Water leak fixed... for now. Until I need to get my windshield replaced, there is no other work around.

A long piece of electric tape is holding down the piece of plastic that is supposed to clear the lower windshield of water. Ghetto fix. I'm really digging that German engineering right now.

Wow... Is this a known issue with no actual fix?!

Sounds similar to an issue with the GT-R's that AMS solved:
