FUnny you say audi's aren't great drivers cars, but of course the one you had fit the bill.

Key word, mods. Out of the box a 3 series will be more bang for the buck. B7 2.0t you will need to throw quite a bit of mods at to make competitive, like I did. My stock b6 had no mods, was slow as dirt but rocked in the snow and audis 6 speed was butter compared to bmws rubbery trannys. So it made a better dd imo and I prefer audi interior. It's all personal preference. I'm not doing any racing, you might be.

Why even bother with trying to have a "fun" DD? Buy a cheap beater you can live with and dump all your extra cash into your fun car!! :)

Maybe I'm getting old but with my 40 minute commute I want quiet comfortable effortless driving so I can text and eat a cheeseburger. Says the guy who bought an Evo X to DD.

G35X? Cheap, Work well in winter, peppy engine, seats 4-5. Sure you wouldnt waste time bringing it to an auto X, but thats why you own a fun car!!!

I bought a 2003 jetta gli vr6. I bought it for a cheap fun dd. I have always loved the gli model cause it comes with awesome seats and a 6 speed. Plus the vr6 sounds great.

I really liked my 03 Acura CL Type S as a daily, only sold it because I saw a s2k for sale and just broke up with a girlfriend that wouldn't let me get a s2k lol.

03 is the only year with the 6 speed and the only one I'd get, the auto's had a lot of problems. I found one for around 5k not too long ago locally. Can get it with navigation, think almost all have heated seats and got that v6 vtak so it was pretty quick for what it was.

GS300. Comfy cruiser. Slow but reliable. When it gets boring add turbo and do work.

For real though, i like the g35 recommendation. Quick enough as is, comfy, not bad looking.

I was looking at G35s and G37s as an option for a sedan, but they dont offer fold down seats, mega fail for me.

Wow never knew that. That's retarded.

What do you need a fold down seat for in the G35/37?

Just getting ready to turn ours in and the only hang up was their fucking cup holders. Couldn't put two medium coffee's next to each other and not have them tilt/lean vs stand straight on their own. So small of a detail, yet huge in simple needs. Other than that, a super fun car to drive as a daily, comfort level certainly there, but ideally I'd have taken a loaded maxima with AWD if an option. derp

I used the fold down seats in my A4 all the time for hauling stuff, something that is a definite need imo. Unless you have a truck, which I do now, but at the time did not. So this might not apply to Brown. Just pointing it out.
