That's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for, just a shade darker so even the police might not even realize they are tinted.

crappy tinting clear? lol thats funny.

Its nice if you want to not go quite as dark to hopefully not be bugged by the cops. But you can go darker. Kind of dirrrty picture

dbc500 is for tinting with base coat not adding to clear coat. you can do it to clear coat but is really not the right way to do it.

the method is basically taking a single stage and mixing a small amount with clear, and then go over again with another coat of clear. It turns out nice and still retains a gloss. We also use different products, and shoot with waterborne.

At any rate i'm sure he will be happy either way.

This is the old man in me talking, but I've heard of guys getting sued, and losing, after being rear-ended with tinted tails (tinted tails were all the rage 4-5 years ago in Dallas, damn near every truck and SUV had them). If you tint them, my suggestion is to keep them light enough so they could still pass for possibly a factory look (I think this looks better than a dark tail tint anyway).

Kracka thats my goal. Tinted a little so they have a deeper color and not so bright/cheap looking. Enough that you or I could tell they look a little different, but to any normal person theyd never even notice.
