I have hit it a few times, feels really good. Hooks well some times, somes time not. I need to tune the 4-link some, its still like it was when I got the El Co. Right now the bars are angled so it acts more like a ladder bar setup, which is not really bad,... if it bites. But if it breaks traction I have to pedal it in the hopes it gets hooked up.
Engine feels very strong, carb needs some accelerator pump/squirter work as it bogs on hard step in. But once the engine catches up it screams to 7k and can blow the tires easilly. Got the carb smoothed out at ide as it was all wacky on the tune. Stall converter feels good. Tranny shifts hard. Haven't hit the nitrous yet, it would be a waste until the suspension is dialed in. Not sure exactly which 700 lift Crane roller cam is in it as I don't have the part number, but its BIG. As in 6-8 inches of vacuum at 1400rpm idle in park BIG.
Just taking my time with it lining out some things the way I like them. The weather here has been screwy as well, raining almost every weekend which keeps it in the trailer.
The thing I like the most about it, just like with my old '72 SS is that it drives really nicely, espcecially considering how much more the suspension is modfied on this one.
Working towards getting some dyno time on it soon. I want to make sure the tune is good and get the baseline numbers of where it is right now, with and without the nitrous.

Really interested to see what kind of numbers you will get when you get this on the dyno!
