I want to get some gauges for my car like oil pressure, coolant temp, and intake air temp. I was thinking it would also be nice to hook up a dummy light to the oil and coolant gauges to tell me when things aren't right. Does anyone know an easy way to do this? Are there kits availeble that are easily adjustable, and dead on accurate, or would this be a custom install?

The reason I would want it is so that I can easily see if something is wrong or about to go wrong. It's not easy to watch the track and constantly scan gauges to make sure your safe without going off. If I could mount a big red light on top of my dash, it would be much easier to notice, then I could slow down and look at where the problem is.

Thanks,
Mark

The only thing I've found is something LIKE THIS. (http://hp.autometer.com/products/accessories/pro_lites_and_senders/pro_lites_and_senders.html) Unless you can rig something on your own for cheaper, this is really the only option.

greddy gauges with the configurable warning light also include a wire on the back that is grounded whenever the warning level is reached. you can use it to trigger a relay to turn on a buzzer, a light, honk your horn, flap your wipers, whatever.

And they're also expensive as all hell.
