Holy christ that thing is long
I just thought about it last night, but I hope it fits on my trailer with no problem. Think it'll be pretty close to the edges lol
Looks badass hopefully I can see it in action some time.
Thanks! Hopefully up at proving grounds it can make some passes with no issues. Be cool to see your car in action too!

Thanks Chris and hell yea!
Ordered up a BMC Race Air Filter, Schnitz Coil Kill Wiring harness, MPS Electronic Ignition Kill box, DME Air Shifter Mount and some new spark plugs today. Going to be a busy weekend next weekend :)
Also got the front lowered about 1 3/4 last night and figured out my lowering strap brackets from the r1 fit perfectly on this bike. Hopefully take it for a spin this week with it lowered/stretched and see how poorly it rides lol

Thanks man! Hope it rips lol. Getting a little nervous its going to go slower than the r1 did
Finished installing the chain tonight. Went with a black 160 link 525 EK MVXZ chain and ended up cutting out 5 links. Could have went with 4 links to get another inch out of the swing arm but figured the long chain would probably stretch a bit and then I would run out of adjustment if it did.
This bike also uses abs type grooves in the rear rotor to get a speed reading. Since the longer swing arm, the wiring would have reached but would have looked like poo and been really stretched. I cut into the harness and extended it about 12 inches and tucks in nice on the swing arm and looks pretty good I think.
I took it on a little rip after all that and it spun pretty hard in 1st almost every time I got on it. Seemed to hook pretty good once, but then seemed to be spinning just a bit at the top of 1st. Granted it was a bit wet/damp out but I'll be curious to see how it hooks on nice try pavement with a street tire.

Depending on money I might try and get it tuned on 87 before proving grounds. Was thinking of going with mr12 race gas but at 150 for 5 gallons and being harder on the engine, I think I'll pass unless I need the boost to get it into the 8s.

If you need boost I have a good condition 14b here.

I would think making it that long would decrease downward force and traction? Seems redonk long haha, sweet project tho!

That sure would help me run faster without getting a rider mod lol. I think it'd be badass to have a turbo bike, maybe someday!
Your car going to be ready for pg?

lol, thanks! Always fun to have a project to putz with. Yea I know it probably wouldn't get traction last night but thought it'd do better than it did. The tire on it right now is a sport touring tire that has a pretty hard center so it can last a long time. Hopeful that by playing with the suspension settings a bit and a more normal/sticker tire that it'll hook on the street from a roll.

Not to be too OT, but it doesn't look like it. I have no time to mess with it and I'm trying to track down a broken driveline part. Took me 4 weeks to pull out both rear axles, reinstall and fill fluid. That is how much time I have.

wtf Aaron I had no idea you were broke down. You would have had a good chance to win your class this year

Got a few things done this week/weekend.
First thing I started to tackle was to replace the spark plugs, install Graves Block Off Plates and change the air filter

The air filter was just plain nasty...

There was even a good amount of bugs in the frame leading to the air box.

Then installed a MPS Engine Kill box for the air shifter. It fits perfectly where the stock exhaust servo sat. Probably throw some velcro down once I finish wiring up the air shifter solenoid.

^Can also see the Power Commander 5 installed on the side of the battery too!
Was able to get the air shifter cylinder installed as well. Used a DME mount, made it stupid easy, and parts I had left over from the r1. Using parts from gainger ... 5ZEE4 - Air Cyl for the air cylinder, 6JJ52 for the Solenoid and 4TAE9 which is a new longer clevis/yoke. Will most likely run it off nitrous so I can use it on the street and not worry about running out.

The guy that flashed my ecu said he modified his ram air and the bike went crazy lean and he said it felt faster after messing with the tune. Figured I might as well follow suit and give it a try.

The stock ram air has a lot of foam and what they call a 'birdcage' in there. Interwebz says its to help keep noise down but I just want to make the most powa I can. So time to get all that extra stuff out of there!
Took out all the foam, birdcage and a little flap that looked like it'd reduce air flow. Finished picture:

Will finish tomorrow as I wanted to get 2 screws to block off little holes to help keep as much air flow as possible
Installed the Brock's clutch mod to get rid of the slipper clutch and also installed their heavy duty clutch springs. Hopefully helps the clutch last longer on the track.

Still have a bit more work to get it fully ready for proving grounds but it should be ready!
