Just curious how much play, pushing down on the T-belt between the cam gears, is safe. My engine and turbo is all stock with a hks ssq bov vented. Not that the bov makes a difference in how much the T-belt should move but most ppl ask what mods right away so there ya go.

Just curious how soon I should plan on rebuilding my baby. (95gst with 113k miles). I have the spare 6 bolt in the garage waiting. :3gears:

If you let the car sit for a while the tensioner releases some tension... So there is no limit of play just by looking betweent he cam gears. You would want to check specs on the actual tensioner.

After you shut down the car though check the tension and it should be nice and tight. It only looses tension after it sits for a while.

If you have to ask, it probably needs a belt job. If it hasn't been done since 60K, you're best off doing it real soon. And if you want to check clearances, take the cover off and measure the tensioner arm gap, specs are in your service manual.
