Long story short, bought a 2.4 block 1.5 years ago, finally got around to getting it machined annnnnnnd its the wrong main girdle. The machine shop already bored the block so I'd like to hopefully find a girdle if anyone has one laying around. I'd even be interested in a bare 2.4 block as long as its a 7 bolt

How is it not the right girdle? How did they say it was wrong?

It's shifted really bad to one side and the main bores are about an 1/8th inch or so off. They said even line boring it won't make it usable

This may sound dumb but did u turn it around? Pretty sure that all 7 bolt girdles are the same.

The main bores aren't close either, its definitely not the right girdle, its probably for a 6 bolt or something

6 bolts used individual caps so that isn't a possibility.

Oh. Well I have no clue then, the machine shop just said it isn't the right one. The overhang is pretty bad

That seems very odd to me.. I know I've put one on backwards before and noticed it instantly. lol I suppose it could be a '63/'64 difference.

Could be a 4g63 7 bolt girdle? Just a thought, I've never owned anything but 2.0 4g63's

It's definitely not backwards but yeah it could be a 63 girdle on there.
