I'm a firm believer in the old adage, "if it seems too good to be true, it usually is."

I still wouldn't pay $12k for it, regardless of mileage. If it does actually have 10k on the clock, it likely spent the first 15+ years of it's life collecting dust, which is detrimental in its own right.

But are they stock? Or do they have 5K in mods?

I've seen both over the years, but to say its only worth 5 or 6k (if it truly is legit) is sort of silly. Maybe not 12k but if I wanted one bad enough I'd pay 8-10k

It does seem too good to be true but I guess looking at it is the only way to know for sure. IMO if I were selling a 10k mile 1g it would be on every DSM forum google could find for me..not just limiting the ad to craigslist..Plenty of guys out there that would snatch it up..So thats a big red flag to me. I probably wouldn't pay 12k either. I just thought someone on here knew the guy and could vouch for the legitimacy of the car. Thanks for the responses!

When I bought my Talon a few years back it had 22,000 original miles on it and bone stock. I paid $6,500 for it.

I bought it from a middle aged woman who was the original owner and she took great care of the car. She had receipts for every oil change ect. She was a scientist near Milwaukee.

I found my Talon through craigslist too so you never know what you'll find.

I wonder what the inside looks like. Maybe you can tell by the seat condition ect. Sounds like someone is just trying to rip people off though. I generally trust people until money is involved.

You got the prime example of a nice low mileage dsm, and a fair price too. The $12k asking price for this car is ridiculous, to each their own.

Yeah I wouldn't buy a 10k mileage DSM for $12k either, even if it was legit.
