So since I get to stay up at night and take care of my 2 little ones so the wife can sleep I've been watching a lot more tv now that my comp is broke.
And I watched a new show about customs agents ay airports that try to catch smugglers. And I have to admit I was pretty appauled once again with our judiciary system failing our law enforcement agencies and in turn the people of this country.
It seems that more and more our law enforcement agencies are getting there hands tied by our gov.
My specific instance on this particular show was a us citizen was searched. He had been to columbia 5 times over a couple months and on this particular case. He was caught with 4 kilos of cocain in the lining of h is baggage. And all he had to say was he didnt know it was there. He was traveling with his wife and kid.
Turns out he admitted quitinfg his job as a medical physician to become a carrier for people.
He admitted that his new job which pays better. Is flying to other countries picking up baggage and then bringing them back to the states for someone else to pick up.
Since he is basically a version of ups or usps. The judge refused to press charges on the man saying they didn't have enough for a case.
Mind you this guy had 4kilos worth about $250k street value in his baggage.
And he got off scott free.
