valve seal install Q

I will be receiving the rest of my parts for the head I have been slowly building mildly and I will be assembling everything soon so my Q is, when I install the new valve seals do I lube them first. Ive installed seals in other things and if I didnt have a coating of oil on them they would melt from the friction... this might be a dumb question lol.
