thanks to nick i will have the driveshaft thing figured out for sure. also having a spare diff cover is really cool. this time i deff want to have another bracket welded on to the subframe and mount my diff in 4 places instead of 3. i will also be looking at all my bushings for the diff as now imho its just not smart to use the factory settup with the limited supply abd cost of parts.

Oh yeah... Diff should still be good! Just find a new cover and clean it up good! I've done this a few times before. haha

Holy crap! What causes a diff cover to break unless the ring gear goes through it?

lol hells yeah this will be the third diff cover for this car. 425tq on db dyno and hella sticky track. diff looks fine I will clean it out and put a new cover on but this time I am going to buy the brackets so I will have four mounts for the diff. I will also have to check the bushings out. new driveshaft and I should be good.

So I have been thinking pretty hard about selling my 2.4 short block. It's very bad ass but I was thinking of making a diff. kind of beast. Anyways I decided to change oil and check a few things out. I noticed a gold sparkle to the oil wtf. so I pulled the pan and big time metal in my pan now nooooooo. So i started pulling rod caps and everything looks great, cylinder walls looking good from below as do pistons from what I could see. So I decided to pull the main girdle and yup there it was fuggin thrust bearing was looking pretty burnt as was my eagle forged crank. looks burnt and can feel with my nail. the rest were not as bad as the thrust, but had damage none the less. I never noticed anything wrong. We just dyno the damn thing and made plenty of power. So I will be pulling the short block and it will be decision time. rebuild? or new motor? http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/nickreck/2013-06-30020724.jpg (http://s1063.photobucket.com/user/nickreck/media/2013-06-30020724.jpg.html)http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t503/nickreck/2013-06-30020801.jpg (http://s1063.photobucket.com/user/nickreck/media/2013-06-30020801.jpg.html)

90? Either way I think this is a case of having an engine built and reusing things without properly cleaning or just reusing things that should never be reused. or maybe engine builder. Done at archer's. maybe the kid before me fed it metal for breakfast idk. chattery clutch all I can do is speculate.
