Ok, for complete s""" and grins we are setting up an autoX event for our daily work horses. The object is to race your other car that would ordinarily never see action at any type of racing. This purely started as a dumb Idea on face book and a local Mitsubishi forum. Currently have 10 people already committed to do this and anyone from in MNautox is very much encouraged to participate as well.

This event will be open for cars that most were decidedly not constructed for performance, but utilitarian duties. Please note if you only have one car, and it's something performance orientated like an Evo, STi, RS4 or S2k, you are not lto able to compete in the challenge, but are strong encouraged to laugh, point, and make fun of us. I guarantee you.. we will be having some good tire squealing fun.

This informal competition will be at the MOWOG #3 which will occur at DCTC. Cost is typically $35.

For the most current info go here: https://www.facebook.com/events/235418316603617/

Helmets are required, but if you do not own one, we'll have enough in the group to cover you.

When registration opens for MOWOG 3 you can register here:
http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/...event_id=13834 ****For car classing all car will need to enter in the X class (exhibition).****

Please note there is a tech inspection that you'll need to pass, so make sure your wheel wearings are not falling apart, or tires and not bald

Beer and pizza will follow the event, TBD, as well as some sort of hideous trophy for the winner .

Please note vehicles considered a high rollover risk maybe declined the ability to participate at the Minnesota Autosports Club discretion.

Annnnnnnd Go.

I bought This (http://www.helmetcity.com/page/HC/PROD/bell/bell-sport) last year as I needed a SA2010. Could not be happier for $280 shipped.

You can check with MN Auto X rep, but I am pretty sure a full size truck or suv would be a rollover risk. If you don't have a sedan to play with you could rent a car or we could let you co-drive one of our cars.

He has access to a GTI. I'm gonna run to bob's today to try helmets if anyone is interested.

Yeah the GTI would be cheating though as that is a "daily race car".

As we just bought a house and close/move in May, we probably won't be out until July for Auto-x events.
