What everyone else is doing shouldn't stop you from following the beaten path. There's reason why they chose the LSx motor over others. Not to mention you'll be able to research what others are doing.
Just my .02. But I seem that small block chev with a holset so I know you personally don't need guidance.
Don't do the 4G63t!

i was seriously debating doing that 4g63 but i think i decided againt that but the other deciding factor is i have a build 355 with ported heads ha ha that has had a turbo setup on it already so i know the engine can handle it

Don't do a turbo sbc. Pain in the ass unless you want to spend alot of money on a good fuel injection system. Turbo 5.3 is my vote.

D16Z6 with a GT4202.
Good luck with project! Looks like a sweet airbrush painting on the side there. Should turn it into a unicorn.

I would leave the sweet decal on and be a sleeper haha.
If you already have a SBC setup go with that! Will still be a fun ride.
Otherwise do the LS setup, just because it's common doesn't mean it's not good.

If you have a motor then rock it, but I don't care for the old carb stuff or just the old stuff in general, but you can make great power for cheap with them if you know what you are doing.
