T-25 Hybrid?

So i pulled my engine to replace all the gaskets, seals, waterpump, clutch etc.. and to check everything else out while its out. I also decided to rebuild my T-25 while i was at it. I also have a used 16G sitting around that i cant use. I was wondering if i could exchange my compressor housing and wheel from the 16G to the T-25 for a possible H/P upgrade? or would it not work at all?

No it will not work. Why can't you use the 16G as a whole?

Two bolts were stripped in the turbine housing and the guy that owned it before me tried to drill them out and did a horrible job. the holes dont line up so i would need a whole new turbine housing.

Just swap turbine housings then? Takes 10 minutes.

I dont think i can just swap them, the t-25 has a four bolt with two plates that hold it to the center housing while the 16G has a clamp around the outside that holds it.

He saying find another tdo5 hot side. 14b/16G. I don't believe any parts are interchangeable between the t-25 and 16g varients

Ill think about it, with the 16G upgrade i would have to upgrade injectors and fuel pump too correct? im not sure if im wanting to do all of that only because i live in california and we have smog laws. So if i have one thing visibly different under the hood, it would be "illegal" and i wouldnt pass smog. And that means no registration... California sucks when it comes to car modifications!

I offered to buy your 16G. But no worries here's a link he's in California to. Offer him $100 and you'll have a newer t-25 no laws broken.
