Time for a rebuild. DB or MAP would be good places to start.
Yep, either rebuild or throw a used engine in.

Agreed! Rebuild time! RS, DB, or Map. I've been to all 3 of various things in the last year. All have been great to work with.

its a 2.3, if it wasent I would just shop around for a 6 bolt
so I would need to get the head cleaned
crank micro polished ? or replaced with another 4g64?
rod honed ? then just measure bearing clearance and reassemble? or is there alot more im missing?
it would be my first rebuild. I honestly want to do it myself for the experience. also I have heard repair cost of 800-2500?

If you do in fact live in Maple Grove as your profile suggests, I'd use DB, closest. Proximity is always nice.

Everything that has or could have even the smallest bearing shaving stuck in it(oil pan, oil pump, oil filter housing, oil cooler, oil cooler lines, head, etc) need to be replaced or thoroughly cleaned, or else you risk it just spinning a bearing again quickly. Some things like an oil cooler are pretty much impossible to get clean.

I just moved out to anoka two weeks ago. money is tight like it is for everyone. I would really like to do the rebuild myself, with help from who ever is willing. I have learned that nothing is truly easy when it comes to dsm's. but all in all im hoping for the best. in all honesty I have yet to dig into her . so I truly do not know the extent of the damage. just going off what shane, and a trusted mechanic and my ears heard.
