Can't go wrong with a Billet wheel HX35 with Mitsu hot side for a budget turbo.

That had to have been the slowest 500 hp car I've ever seen.
What are your actual goals with the car? Not having a defined goal often times leads to an over-turbo'd, over-manifolded lag-fest that a good 16g setup would eat for lunch, and be a lot more fun to drive.
It sounds like you're building a street car, but is there a specific 1/4 time or trap speed you are shooting for?

The car will be street/Drag
I've already done the 16g setup.. I wanna upgrade, I have to put a new engine in, my 7bolt blew up. So I'm gonna put a built 6 bolt in with Wiseco HD pistons 10.5:1 Then a new 2g built head probably use GSC S2 cams, JM Fab intake most likely or a magnus we'll see. I have a new fp mani but probably gonna sell it and pick up a tubular and get the 6266 dbb turbo for it, So I'll be good for around 700hp. I'm assuming with that setup and a new fuel system to support e85 I'll be hitting around 600-700 hp mark. Which by far exceeds what I'll be happy with. I'd be happy with anything past 500+.
With an upgraded intake and that turbo.. I don't see much lag there.
But I'm new to all this.. Never had a car past 500+ hp

Not much lag with a 62mm turbo on a 2.0? roflcopters.

I know we live in a world today where on the internet, anything smaller than a 61mm is "small". Forget that bullshit, a 62mm is a fairly large turbo to 99% of us. That turbo is going to shift your power band quite a bit to the right. Add in a SMIM, not sure what you're reading but that will also likely move your power band even more right. Add in larger cams, more right. Add in some tubular manifold instead of the short runner cast one (that EVERYONE is telling you to keep but for some reason you have a hard-on for tubular), and that may move it a tad more right.
By the time you're all said n done, I would predict your setup to hit 30psi around 5k+ RPM. I say that because that's about where my similar setup on my Talon hit 30psi (built 2.0, T3 tubular mani, S362, JMF intake, 272 cams). It's a world of a difference from a 16g as far as lag goes. Which may very well have a negative affect on how "enjoyable" the car is to drive. And this is EXACTLY why all of us are saying to stick with the FP manifold, and go with as small of a turbo that reaches your power goals.
Kerry on here had an FP manifold, and a bolt on SCM61, he out-spooled me and kept up up-top.

No 62mm+ = we no care.
5858 will do what you want it too. or FP HTA76 has trapped 138.
I vote 16g/50 trim and spray 100 shot.

Well said!
I am a little rusty on my 10+ year old turbo knowledge, but isn't a bolt-on SCM61 known as the original 'Red' ?

I dont think so. If my memory serves i think the original red was a 60-1 compressor and a td06 turbine in a 7 or 8cm housing.
