I checked the timing belt last night and it is spot on. So I dont think that is an issue. I gotta dig my compression tester out of the shed tonight and try that.
Also..when I took it back apart I noticed the pickup and ring for the Crank position sensor is dirty. Like has something caked on it. Could that cause a false reading?

So... Compression test results are not to happy.
Cylinders 1,2,3,4,6 all have at least 160 psi. Cold startup, no oil added. Cylinder 5 only got to around 115 psi with 1 cap full of oil added to it. They all build compression, but I have a weak cylinder.
Still shouldn't stop it from starting though. Thinking its about time to give up on the car. lol

I lost a cylinder on my maxima and it would run but it would be hard to start and if you killed it that thing would not start after that. Sucks to hear about a bad cylinder.

I figured something like this would come up. But glad I found out before ordering a $300 distributor. Cause at least not I can take some time and think about what I wanna do with it. I was just trying to get it running so I could drive it.
Oh well, guess I get to start working on the eclipse again lol
