I'd personally stick with an Android based or an Apple tablet. They are leap years ahead in the app market and have already been through a cycle or two of cleaning up bugs in the systems.

Im planning on one, but the pro version with an Intel x86 processor...

Basically a laptop then running desktop version of windows.

I'm still doing a lot of learning about it,but the RT version is like an Ipad where you ahve to buy apps thru the windows store and only the windows store and it cannot run anything else.

The Pro version, looks to be a like an ultra small laptop, but I think the price will determine its popularity. I'll keep learning more about it.

Why not just buy one of the newer really thin laptops? I never have jumped on the tablet bandwagon. If I want portable I will use my phone, if I want to carry something with me I will grab the laptop. I have a blackberry playbook that never gets used and I have used my dad's Asus prime quite a bit (which he has a keyboard and dock for and makes it just as big as my laptop but it can't do nearly as much).

My buddy has had one for about a year now and loves it. If you want a good tablet that can do a lot of things this is a good tablet.

Also the new shell in windows looks like windows 95... good times. I guess they're just trying to force people into using Metro. It's working.

^Does he have the RT or Pro?

I'm thinking I'd get the pro, i'm due for a new laptop soon anyway....

He has pro. He got it at a MS conference that was for Windows 8 back in the earlier days and has since been updated.

I was referring to the shell in Professional, it's not a big deal but there's no transparent aero anymore, it's just flat boring colors. That's what I'm running for a development machine as of 2 days ago.

I think I will get a tablet as soon as ECUFlash/Evoscan/etc would potentially be compatible. Until then, I am good with my phone and laptop.
