After helping Shawn with his car, the little I did, I will pay someone to do my clutch any day of the week! His motor was basically out of the car and at that point, I mind as well have some fun and do a learning experience and pull my motor over winter.

I am sure I could find some reason to do it...stroker crank maybe...2.4L that revs to 10k :)

Well being I was the one who actually installed his clutch, it really wasn't that bad. What was frustrating was trying to keep that freaking birdcage retainer in place as we basically had to help the car birth a transmission in reverse.

Are you sure more power is the solution here?

Was a joke, I have no desire for more power. Been considering selling my EF4 for something smaller to get a peppy turbo again.

I am 100% satisfied with power honestly. More power will just break more shit and I don't want that. Need to learn to drive what I have first.

edit: I was there one day helping shawn for quite a while, maybe two even, don't remember, think just one. But it was terrible looking. Most of the car was apart and the engine was 1 mount from coming out. I don't know how thats not terrible lol.

Even Shawn said he wished he paid Ron to do it for him. I don't like spending money on labor but sometimes its worth it to not have to do it yourself.

Gotcha! You're going to have to give me a ride in your beast soon... I really have no point of reference to give any input in that area.

Back to the start of all this, is the clutch slipping bad, or are you just getting lockout?

I did two 3rd gear pulls, one knocked really bad, but I think that was because of weird fuel delivery as I was cruising high in 3rd gear then punched it, so it was breaking up.

Then I did it again and no knock but then it felt like the car was going slow with no load and RPM's seemed to start to shoot up so I let off.

The worst part is engaging first gear from a stop. It almost feels like there are pieces missing from the clutch or something. I'd have to let someone else drive it to understand, it feels a lot different, its tough to get going now. So I know for a fact something is wrong, I feel confident its the clutch but I will log RPM vs Speed to confirm.

Turn the boost down til it stops slipping, problem fixed.
