hey guys

So I went to clear the valve cover and it started cracking right away, what happened. Did it not like what was on the surface? needless to say I stripped it and im starting over. What should I do different?

Powdercoat it.

The paint wasn't compatible with the powder coat. Valve covers take such a beating that paint usually doesn't last at all.

Powdercoat it.

then I gotta order new baffles and weld them in....

I didn't have to get new baffles, just block off the parts you don't want coated.

how do they get all the crap out after they sand blast it?

The paint wasn't compatible with the powder coat.

I stripped it prior to painting it.

They didn't sand blast mine, just chemical stripped it in some acid bath I think. Contact powderkeg to see what they say.

Fail on my part. The paint wasn't compatible with the CLEAR coat.
