Hey ya'll...

So my last thread didn't even make it to the second page before posting this.

Two things happened with the car tonight...

1) The car won't go into reverse unless I FORCE it. It doesn't grind and works perfect otherwise. The linkage cables look good but I don't really know what to look for. All other gears are like butter. I just changed the trans fluid a week ago but didn't check the diff fluid.

2) There is a clunking sound coming from the passenger side front. This started right after number 1. It increases with speed and is not affected by braking. No sound at idle. All CV boots, etc. look fine. There is some side to side play on the drivers side wheel/tire (indicating wheel bearing?) but like I said, the sound comes from the passenger side. I'll address the wheel bearing.

Any thoughts? I don't even know if the two are related...

Reach up and see if you can wiggle the passenger side axle at all. It's not something I've heard of before, but it seems as if the two could be related. Luckily, if it is any problem with the reverse gear, it's right on the end of the case and easy to get to without taking the tranny off.
