A month or two ago the car wouldn't start. It'd turn over for a while but wouldn't ignite at all. I'd let it sit for a few minutes and then it'd start right up.

Now the car tries to die while driving all the time. If I have my foot pressed on the gas it'll just hiccup pretty bad but continue to run.

I replaced the fuel pump about a month ago but I'm having the same problems.

I've narrowed it down to cam or crank position sensor, coolant temp sensor, or possibly fuel relay?

I'm far away from my dad's shop (Where all my tools are) so I can't just pull and test sensors.

Any suggestions? Anyone else have this problem?

Cam sensor failing will cause the fuel pump to shut off, that's a good posibility.Coolant temp sensor would cause the car to possibly run pig rich, which *could* cause the plugs to foul and shut down. You're going to have to test each sensor though.

Okay so I went to AutoZone to see if they had any suggestions and we found a small vacuum leak up high on the back of the engine. I replaced it and it ran a lot smoother but I don't think that is what is causing the car to shut off.

I should have mentioned earlier, I DID get 5-6 CEL codes a few months ago. (I haven't had the car very long) One of the was "cam/crank pos sensor". I found some bad wires leading from the cam sensor and I thought I fixed that code. Maybe not.

It was the crank pos sensor.
