Updates...

Finished cleaning up all of the turbo stuff:

Installed Kurt Urban LS water vapor system (helps keep cylinder 7 cool):

Moved the rad support about 6" forward. Now that's done, I can paint the bay this week:

Installed trim ring:

Moar.

Shroud and fan mounted up for the last time:

Trans cooler mounted to the radiator. I'm green to automatics so I don't know if this will cool enough or not. I'll just need to wait and see.

Very nice work, that new rad. support looks beefy!

Like the fan and shroud, wish I could fit a beast like that in my car.

That cooler should do just fine on the hwy, your issue will be at the track if anything. You might want to remote mount it so you can have a fan. But maybe your cooling fan will be enough too.

I should update this :)

I painted the engine bay a couple of weeks ago:

Before:

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7252.jpg

During:

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7266.jpg

After:

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7281.jpg

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7287.jpg

started getting the bay prepped for the motor and trans:

Cleaned up and mounted both headlight motors:

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7309.jpg?t=1339870689

Mounted brake booster and catch can:

View from the back to the front:

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7327.jpg?t=1339870474

And an overview:

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7320.jpg?t=1339870483

I also got my alternator bracket mounted:

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7328-1.jpg?t=1339884939

Radiator hoses (see quarter for size reference).

Since I was installing the engine/tranny by myself, lots of covering was necessary :)

Engine in and bolted down (trans is still resting on a jack as I have to move the mount ~6" forward):

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7361.jpg?t=1340583649

Space with the relocated radiator support:

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7363.jpg?t=1340583583

Space behind the motor... about 1-1.5"... perfect...

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7365.jpg?t=1340583575

Intake installed:

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7366.jpg?t=1340583564

Headers/turbo installed:

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7368.jpg?t=1340583359

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7369.jpg?t=1340583534

Relocated fusebox:

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7376.jpg?t=1340583525

VERY tight fit... but it will be nice and snug:

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7387.jpg?t=1340583513

Front view. Note the tranny cooler lines... they ended up being the perfect length.

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7390.jpg?t=1340583390

IC tubing installed:

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7392.jpg?t=1340587758

IC installed:

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7391.jpg?t=1340587748

We started building my exhaust last night...

http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k265/David343/IMG_7398.jpg

And then we got the fittings welded to the radiator and water pump. It only looks like I planned it to fit this well... believe me... I just got lucky LOL.

True love is the answer! This thing is one of my favorite project threads! Love it when I see someone so motivated and also be a perfectionist. They both coincide so well together and its kind of rare. Keep up the good work and I look forward to the next updates.
