Nick, if you want to test drive a TB SS, you can drive our Saab 9-7x Aero (Same 6.0 LS2 engine).

I think they drive a bit nicer than the SS (quicker steering, beefier sway bars and bilsteins), definitely have a nicer interior, hids, air ride suspension, read dvd player nav and all that.

Fuel mileage sucks though, hardcore. She is averaging 15.5mpg with Melissa driving.

Do the RDXs have the same issue with the trans and the MDX's? Also what years RDX should I look at?

Don't believe so, that was a generational issue with almost all the 5 speed auto's they attached to their V6's in the late '90's and early 2000's. Believe all the newer trannies are a newer model/generation AFAIK. Thus I believe the RDX's don't have those issues.

Our MDX, my bro's MDX, and my other bro's TL all had their transmissions replaced(including torque converters) by Acura, two for free, and one was discounted 50% off. All right around the 100k mile mark.

The shuddering issue you are having in yours is possibly the torque converter.

You still have the saab? LOL I thought you were saying you needed an upgrade.

Good info though as I was unaware they came with the LS2. I guess another one I could add to the list.

Sidebar- Im offering to you this first. Wanna buy your talon back?

Yeah its super weird the shuddering only happens at like 1400 rpm and like its missing going into gear. You have to either smash the gas or get out of it to stop.

But your probably correct its the torque converter:woohoo1:

We traded in the one you remember and got a newer Aero version which comes with another 100hp ;)

I'd love to buy the Talon back but I couldn't do it right now.

Check out some forums on how they handle in the snow. LOTS of complaints on them. They went to a full open system and use the brakes to control everything and the guys hate them, that is the reason we haven't upgraded ours. In like '09 or '10 they fixed it, but they are spendy yet.
