I was looking at go pros over the weekend and dont know what one to get. I want to put it on my helmet when iam riding my motorcycle. Which one would work best for my use? I know some of you guys have go pros. What ones do you guys have? How good are they for sound and video quality?

Ive heard the Herp 2 has the best sound quality, which always seemed like a major downfall with the original ones IMO.
I think the hero 2 is the one we have at Target.
If you want to keep the cost down and not worry about play back (via attachments) just go with the 960. I just sold mine that I used all last year on the Miata for Auto X. Great quality, and you'll get that same quality with every level of GoPro they have. The amount of mounting options out there make it useful in so many ways. The guy who bought mine this weekend is going ot start using it for a time lapse of his current vid, and will be able to mount it easiy in a wide range of garage angles. Then strap it onto this roll bar or suction cup mount to anywhere else on the car.
Yes the suction cup mounts work as well as the rest of the mounts, they make great products. I only sold mine as I have another in car video direction planned out. :)

I spent a few weeks researching these cameras. I'd personally like to find something with an external mic.
I did however read through best buy's accidental damage policy, it states "if item is damaged during intended use", It's covered. In their videos, they mount it on the wing of a plane, take it underwater, motocrossing, etc. Meaning if it falls off your car at 100mph, as long as you can find it, it'll be replaced.
3-year Accidental coverage is $75.

The Hero 2's great. Audio quality's not bad, but it's not blow-you-away-amazing, either. I'll be picking up a full skeleton case and an external mic before PG.

The GoPro Hero2 is has a stereo mic port, you just need a non waterproof housing (or drill the waterproof housing if you don't need to take it scuba diving).
I have it and I'm still doing some work to get where I'm happy with the audio. Here's one of my early preliminary mic tests (the WOT pull starts at 00:38 for those impatient folks):

Some things to note: I was using a MONO mic which is why you only hear sound from one speaker. I didn't bother editing it because I'm still working on it. I've also improved audio quality and reduced wind/road noise since that test. Once I'm happy I'll post more videos.
Oh and no, I don't know how to embed videos either ;)
