Engine boring/machining work.

I was just curious who people go with for boring, honing and decking. I'm going to rebuild the EJ255 in my swap. Basically putting in slightly bigger pistons. I've never done this before so this is my starting point.

If anyone has done this lately do they know of a price range they paid?

Motors by Gosh(John Gosh).. Right next to DB.

Gosh, next to DB, nice. My former employer HiTech Motorsport has done block work for flat 4s. I know they use diamond hones on there hone machine, which is not that common. The cylinder wall finish is next to none, good stuff.

MAP does their engine machining in-house, worth checking with them too.

I was going to say this as well. I know several evo's running their motors that seem to be doing quite well.

I'd say its worth checking out.

I would check Gosh next to DB and MAP as my two choices personally.

To each their own, but I'd rather have someone experienced and specialized in modern performance 4-cylinder engines do this type of critical work.

That's not what I mean't. Didn't say they're not capable. I just thought Gosh or the place pushit suggested would be cheaper but would still do a great job.

Yea, I would say John Gosh has plenty of experience with 4g63's anyways. Not sure about Subaru's though.
