Very nice
Nice indeed! I agree with the turbo, just a little one so it spools fast.

Turboing the IS300 is a pain in the ass unless you have a lot a money to spend.

+1. I haven't looked into parts too much yet, but the stock internals and tranny are only good to around 400. If I do any kind of FI it will probably be a sc. Even those are around $4500.

Aren't the internals the same as the 2JZ GTE but higher compression? (Same as sc300 right) I thought most guys just slapped a thicker head gasket in and let er buck? I know the trannies aren't that strong though, a friend of mine here in cloud had his go on him and he's still N/A with a few bolt ons.

The internals are similar, but the GTE has forged pistons and rods. The GE doesn't. And yes, they are higher compression.

GTE doesn't have forged internals, they are just big and strong like a 1G 6-bolt. The SC300 2JZ-GE internals are strong also, but higher compression, just doing a TT headgasket or thicker one is enough to crank the boost up on them. The newer GE's have tiny rods like a 2G or Evo. The IS300 trannies are weak too, especially the 5-speed. The IS300 has a better head than the Supra and SC300.

Thanks for the clarification Shane. I'm still new to this platform so I don't really know everything about it yet.

Not anything exciting, but I got the stupid pinstripes off the sides today. They were peeling off and looked like crap so I just used an eraser wheel and took them all the way off. Also got my Optima battery swapped in. Next thing to do is polish up the headlights and fog lights since they're starting to get a little foggy. While doing that, I might take them apart and paint the housings black.
