Yes you can bypass it with out removing your heater core. open your hood and look for 2 coolant hoses going in to the firewall. After that you should be able to figure it out.

Wait, Do i just connect a male to male fitting to the coolant lines on the firewall?

I would remove the existing rubber lines and just run a U shaped loop to the lines below/behind the thermostat housing. From what you described above it sounded like you were going to keep the rubber lines in and loop them back where they enter the firewall.

Correct. I was assuming you can pull the 2 lines from the firewall and use a male to male connection to keep a open loop there... You suggest running one "U" shapped solid line from the housing instead? What size are these lines, 5/8"?

Well, if you dont need all that coolant line going to the firewall and back, why keep it? I'm sure you can find a U shaped hose in the right diameter if you look around for some.
Not sure on the diameter. Drain your coolant, take the hose off, and bring it to a parts store to see what they have in stock in that diameter.
