Figured I'd start a project up here since I'm now getting to the point where some advice from those here would be a big help, I've been away from Boost for some time, so I'm sure things have changed.

The Yatta: And 02 that just hit 30k miles this past year.

Will add some pics later tonight.

Wheel/Tire combo currently: TRMotorsports C1M's wrapped in 205/50R-15 Kumho Ecsta SPT
Suspension combo currently: Tokico Illumina Shocks, FM Springs, and FCM Bump Stops.

To come this year is going to where I start asking for some help as I really need to do some homework on suspension and then the Turbo vs SC debate on the 1.8 monster I'm rocking here. Other than that I'm stock power wise.

As for plans for the car. Heavy AutoX with 1 or 2 track days for 2012. I'm currently in STR for AutoX, but will be moving likly to SSM with upgrades.

what is yatta?

No psi, you will get scared.

16G sounds like it would do good for your usage.

Can I pilot it again this year?

Have specific questions? And I can't believe you even have a turbo vs. SC debate..

Like Aaron said, something like a evo iii 16g or similar may be a great option for your goals.

The problem with this platform and turbos is torque. The 5spds seem to die pretty quick with auto-X use if they are handling any tq (~250lb/ft)

If i remember right, the 6spds tend to be quite a bit more robust. I can't remember if the mazdaspeed box is even stronger yet.

There are some decent supercharger setups these days that can make 300+whp but no where near the tq, and thus the trans is happy.

It's been awhile since i read about miatas so maybe some of these things have changed.

Turbo, duh. So easy to turbo those cars with a 14b or like was said, a 16g.
