Does anyone know anything about them?
Right now we have a linksys G router and it just does not have the range we need in our house. Its currently on the middle floor on the right side of the house and we dont get good if any signal on the bottom or top floor on the oposite side of the house. We are also not looking to spend a million dollars either.
Thanks in advance

If you have a old school wrt54g you can flash custom software onto it that lets you increase the signal strength. It doesn't make a big difference, but it might be worth looking into.

Get a wireless N router. It's in the top corner of my house and I have zero issues anywhere inside the house, garage, patio, or yard.

Get a wireless N router.
Doesn't help if your computers do not support the N band.
You can search for a wireless Extender that works with your router. They essentially work like a bridge and traffic is passed through the extender then to the router then out.

My way is free... i think you want openwrt, it might be ddwrt. Google "wrt54g custom firmware" and see if your hardware version is supported.

Scheides is a huge proponent of the Apple Airports... Got a signal in his garage just fine last night off his, so I can't say I blame him.

I bought one of these a couple months ago to replace my G netgear and its working great.

No need to spend more than 50-70 bucks on router. Best bet is to get a BG and N one, like I did.

I had several top-of-the-line linksys and other routers, even dual-band (N&G on separate channels) and they all pale in comparison to the signal I get from the Apple Airport Extreme that I just bought. I get faster throughput and better signal with it. They are spendy, but IMHO they are the one to get.

I have a $50 N router, works bomb.
ON a side note, if you have multiple routers is there a way to link them to increase signal in your house.
