We plan to offer EF1/EF2/EF3 upgrades to the best of my knowledge, however, we haven't been able to source cores to offer these as new units as of yet. As Nick outlined the EF1 is a compressor wheel upgrade only (larger than a 16g though Aaron), the EF2 is the same compressor wheel with a turbine wheel upgrade, and the EF3 includes even larger compressor and turbine wheels. The EF2 is a 450+whp turbo for Evo platforms, but I wouldn't be so quick to say that it would perform at that same level with DSM housings (although the EF1 has been performing very well).

It's easier to explain it that way, I don't care to answer a million questions about a 69mm compressor wheel vs. 68mm.

Of course you could put out some information that would be the end all of EF-line turbos that could be copied and pasted everywhere.....

I'd be shocked if a 5 spd DSM with EF2 didn't break 450.
I'm excited to see this DSM EF3, plans to go bigger? :drive:

You actually do not need a bigger exhaust housing. It cannot however be done to a EVO 3 housing due to the thinner stainless construction.

just a quick question to further clarify things, so would a core for an EF3 need to be from a big 16g? Would it be a 7cm or 8cm?

I wonder if a guy could use the BEP bolt on housings that are used on the Holsets.....hmmmm
