i did my last 2g flat black (using spray cans WOOT), it came out ok, but i never cleaned it because i was scared of how it would turn out. Once oil gets on there its a bitch to clean.

If you are having it professionally done, I think satin panda cars look sexy as hell: http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/american-muscle/185288-satin-white-viper.html

I think you would just use regular white paint with a satin/low gloss clear coat, correct? I wouldn't just use flat white paint without clear.

correct. that wrap looks awesome i should have considered that. but i am going with painting it. and i would spray the car with a flat white then use a flat, or like you said, low gloss clear coat for sure. the problem is cleaning it. once you rub/ wax/buff it. it leaves scratches or shiny spots no matter what. correct me if im wrong.

Nothing is unique with 240s. May as well paint it a nice color, like black.

Maybe I am getting old but I think the flats look too cheap on eclipses, 240s, rx7, the old 1990 gens. Too rat rodish. I don't think you are going for a rat rod look. It works on expensive cars because... well they are expensive no matter what you do to them.

I think if you put your time in with a good paint job it will look 100% clean especially if you are going for white.

Edit: you will have to paint the engine bay as well
