Troublesome Talon

My buddy's 1990 Eagle Talon TSI AWD stock except polished head.

Symptoms:

It boost 3psi at idle.
When you rev it up (sitting parked) it boosts with rpms.
Slow revving.


Any ideas, I dont want to suggest any of my thoughts to influence others thoughts.

Well, it is not creating boost at idle. There is something wrong in the electrical system. It is probably sluggish because it is very rich from thinking so much air is going into the system. I would start out by swapping MAS's, then check the ECU for leaky caps.

are you using a real boost gauge? or the stock one...

im pretty sure he was using stock boost guage :naughty: we will try swapping mas and ecu, Thanks as always.
