This is true! I still think its a dead concept though!

PCs have used online services like Steam for years to download games free of any physical media. I really hope the next generation of consoles use a similar service.

I see plenty of ripped blurays on the torrents that look great when i play them. To each his own i guess, spend your money on what you like.

I don't buy all movies on blu ray, but there are select few that i do where i feel that the blu ray format will look awesome on. Avatar is one of them.
Yes there are plenty of ripped "Blu Rays", and i put blu ray in quotes because a 4gb file for a movie is compressed to a quarter of its size. See the list below, this is a list of uncompressed blu ray movies and their true size.

I dont see why you make such a big deal about uncompressed file sizes. I think the avg BR rip i download is about 7 gigs and most look great in 1080. I'd say the quality of the rip depends on who ripped it and such. Such as back in the day when the Axxo 700meg movie rips looked better than most of the 1.5 gig rips.

Do you hate mp3s and only listen to FLAC files too?

I never thought someone who once upon a time stuck woodscrews into his car would be such a stickler about things like this ;o
