Hey guys, just picked up a TSI/AWD from another member here on the board, have had zero problems, changed the oil, buffed and waxed and shes ready to go! Only real mods are a 16g and an eBay BOV....

It did pull past an 02 WRX wagon (Exhaust only) last night.. . :Banane55:

I do have a turbo back exhaust (all eBay...) arriving in the next day or two, that with a full tune up and some TLC, it will be a great driver.

The exhaust showed up today, at least the o2 housing and down pipe. Catback will show up when hell freezes over..... The build quality is meh. Its eBay though, so I cant complain.

Some more maintenance before modifying anything. Did Transmission, Transfer Case, and Rear and fluid changes. I also got a good timing belt cover from my buddy! No more busted one. Still gotta fix the oil leak on the valve cover and turbo return line....

Smells as good as it looks :/

Maintenance is getting closer to done, new valve cover gasket, plugs, and wires for today. I didn't like the green machine scheme on this burgundy car... So it will be black, gotta find a spark plug cover thats not 10lb's of diamond plate...

The car runs smoother than ever, doesnt burn oil at WOT anymore?... The old gasket was leaking everywhere. Still have to address the return line leak, then it will all be good.

I have all the exhaust now, and the car was tinted last night. Just going to let it sit and set up in the warm garage for a few days.

Mmmmmmmm Captain Coke.... All the exhaust on, only had to modify the down pipe. Other than that, hits fuel cut @5000rpm, and the open waste gate sounds good... Tint is dark enough, I'd like to remove the smoker vents though. I also still have to fix the oil leak on the turbo return line. I have gaskets for it already.

Nice Exhaust! Love the o2 housing with the external dump pipe. Must scream! A little bit more engine bay clean up and youll have a way nice ride both in and out! Pressure wash it maybe? Hope to see it driving around the streets some time!

Thanks man, are you from the msp area?

The bay is pretty grimey :/ here and there. mostly undercarriage gunk though. The open dump sounds cool to say the least. Lots of surprised looks after a run with any car lol.

Anyone have a suggestion on what to do about fuel cut? I've been talking with a few buddies and both suggested a Walboro/TRE fuel pump off of eBay. Any other fuel items that could be addressed as well?

Fuel cut has nothing to actually do with a lack of fuel, it happens when the ECU sees too much airflow and it assume the wastegate setup has failed and the car is overboosting. You should get an upgraded fuel pump anyways though. The real fix for fuel cut is to turn it off in the tune, you can do that with DSMLink or an Eprom chip.
