Better get some straight pipes for it.
Sometimes you need loud exhaust to make decent power (unless it's a Harley ). Just like in a performance car, a larger exhaust is needed sometimes. I picked up 23whp/11wtq with a 1" bigger baffle and a jet change.

. Everyone I talk to that owns a bike has had it happen more then once so I think straight pipes are a really good idea.

I agree, If they don't see me they hear me. Do laugh about the southpark episode in my head while I'm riding though

That is exactly what it is, it's always a grandma that can barely see her hand infront of her face that always pulls out infront of you. I wasn't saying you were gonna kill yourself, I was saying some dumbass that didn't see you is gonna pull out infront of you. Everyone I talk to that owns a bike has had it happen more then once so I think straight pipes are a really good idea.

Ah agree. Sorry i just misread what you wrote! I think its gonna be awhile for pipes. My wife isnt to happy about it to begin with. plus i know nothing about right now.

Well still have this bike and right now it is all tore apart in my basment. So far got some new pads for the rear brakes and hopefully after chirstmas i will get so new gaskest and valve shims for it and swap all that out. Then lastly it a good toon up and replace some front brake lines and ill be good to go as soon as it gets warm! Maybe also replace the gauges if my wife lets me have anymore money! lol

so ended up getting my old bike together and selling it. It was getting pretty spendy to find parts for it or just may have needed a bit more work then i was ready for. i paid like $480 for and sold it for $800 i think. ha but anyway the bike bug got me again after not riding at all last year and i ended up picking up a 2006 yamaha fz-6. Awesome bike love the way it rides and so much newer then anything i rode before! Got it at simply street bikes wasnt a bad place easy to work with just so damn far from my place but was worth it in the end.

ha awesome! yea its super nice to ride. I cant stand rockets where you are humping the tank as you ride. the down side about the fz6 is i think changing the exhaust would be a giant pain to do lol

dosnt look to bad to change the exhaust, but ya its definitely not as easy a side exhaust with 2 bolts.
