I don't think I'll be able to get off of work that day, but I'll try.
Question, is the donated money going right to his family or an arrangement or..?
Sorta depends on how much we raise. I think some flowers would be good but it sounds like money would be the best bet and holy crap are we raising a good amount! The fund is over $350 so far!

Soo sad to hear. Met him the first time on the cruise out to MOD. Great guy always willing to do anything. Will miss him greatly. R.I.P.
Also would be honord to rock a sticker for him. Just let us know where to get them.

I had the opportunity to meet Mike at the last MOD day and at the cookout last year. He was a very nice person and I enjoyed talking to him. Before we left for MOD last year I will always remember him asking me why I put a bra on my car on long trips. When we arrived in IL he noticed a chip on the bumper of his EVO and came up to me and said now I know why you have the bra! lol. He will be missed.
Here's the link to his photo bucket

Hopefully you all will enjoy looking at his pictures as a remembrance of him and his enthusiasm for Mitsus!

He was so young... Does anyone know exactly what happened? Was he sick?

Probably a heart attack. He had made a FB post about some problems when he was in DC not too long ago. He probably didn't think much of it since he was indeed so young. That's why I said guys: if you have a problem, get checked out and don't take the first simple answer they give you.

I kind of wonder if the flight home had anything to do with it. Don't they usually tell you not to fly when you have heart issues?

He posted on evoxforums that he did in fact go to the hospital in DC to get checked up. The doctors said everything was fine actually which totally sucks as obviously something wasn't :(

Basically everything will be speculation at this point as to what happened, I am in contact with the family and from what they have been told they will not know the cause of death for about 2 weeks, thats the time it takes to get a autopsy report.
Yes it is true , Michael did check himself into the ER last week with chest pain and muscle spasms, after an EKG was taken it was discovered he did have heart murmer, but all other tests appeared normal at that time. I will post any other information I have to share as it comes in.
Really miss not having him around, pretty much checked in with him on a weekly basis to see what he was up to, and we always were talking about the infamious fuel issue on his car. He come down to my folks house all the time to work on his cars, and always leave with some of his projects" completed. I cant really write anything else, it just breaks me up. See you all on Thursday for those that can make it.

Glad you guys like the decal. I'll donate and either pick up one or two from scheides print one or two for myself.
Lomker's permanent MAC number, 115, has been officially retired. The club usually leaves it to the family to decide if the number is used as a tribute (eg, anyone using it at an event). He wasn't hugely active in the MAC or AutoX community but it's another way to honor and remember, if the family has a preference.
