Am I wrong or isn't your boost controller supposed to be connected before the throttle body like off the fitting from the turbo if equipped?

It's ideal to have it tapped in as close to the turbo as possible.

My turbo does not have a nipple off of it for the boost gauge

Ive seen it tapped and sealed into a UICP after the turbo. Just simply drilling a hole in your UICP, and putting a barbed nipple and some sealant/JB to keep things from leaking.

Just make sure the BAP sensor is not on a vac line with an electronic boost controller, if you have a "standard" manual boost controller put it in line with what ever sees manifold pressure and you are good to go.
Its a dsm, put it in the crank case or water jacket and it might work just fine.
