I think I'd puke if i seen my mom pose like i did that one time! But ya, she's really happy with it. Ya it only puts out 160hp, but it's still fairly quick. I didn't say fast, I mean just quick, it has get up and go, enough for her atleast. I'd enjoy having that as like my daily driver, I really like it. But I don't got 22k laying around for one

I'm gonna go test drive some stuff tomorrow including some Mazda's and a certain Honda I like. I know Zac Carlson sold his '98 GST for a 3 (5-door, fully loaded, exactly like your mom's) and absolutely loves it so we'll see. I'm not sure why AZ prices are so high, but up here in MN a fully-loaded Mazda6 with 6-cyl and AT will run right around $25k ($26k with side-curtain airbags).

I test drove an RX8 at the mazda rev it up and was fairly disappointed. The clutch was like an on/off switch (about 2" from disengaged to engaged). The power was decent at first, I knew I would have to rev the rotary, but after 5k it was just a flat power band. It really needs a turbo! There wasn't any rush or anything. It handled pretty good, but pushes at the limit. I did bark the tires pretty good going into 2nd though (no lift to shift :D ).

Phoenix actually has a slightly lower cost of living than MN, but I have noticed car prices are much better in MN though. Maybe it's cuz they rust up there I dunno.

It's a fairly decent platform to start modding, same thing at the focus. The 2.3L suposedly takes well to nitrous. That's was Saleen uses in their version of the focus.

huh? i've got about 3/4" from engaged to disengaged. i consider it a good thing. remove the clutch fluid resevoir/accumulator thingy replace with braided stainless line, remove slave cyl restrictor.
