Why do you need to build it? (no attitude or anything meant here)
I'm just wondering because stock internals have proven to take quite a beating so unless you are shooting for 9s or something you really don't have to touch the internals. Plus there is nothing to really build.
Please note my experience is with AWD, good luck.

Im going to build it because I hear that these cars go threw a lot of Transmission's when your beating on them at the race track. I just want something reliable that can handle a good amount of horsepower for a long period of time.
I have to rebuild the transmission anyways so I figured why not build it to last since Im gonna rebuild the motor too.

What is wrong with the tranny that you need to rebuild it?

The guy that I bought the car from told me that the tranny could also use a rebuild because it was slipping before the motor went. the car has 177,000 miles and the original owner said that everything on the car is original.
