I believe none of this shit would have happened if it wasn't for the media spreading the word of the American troops half ass playing around with the Iraqi prisoners. There is no reason why any of us needed to know about there little pictures and acts they performed with the prisoners. The American soldiers should have been punished and the whole thing be kept on the downlow. This happens to much that the media gets us into shit like the beheading. The media needs to butt out of stupid shit and quit showing the world our every stupid mistake. That is just my opinion. :fworld:

Those terrorist would have killed him the same. They just used the prisoner thing as an excuse.
Terrorist are getting desperate because they know it's just a matter of time before they are taken out. They are animals who hide behind a cause and a mask. It's not like fighting a war with a government. We are fighting a war with radicals and brain washed mercenaries who will kill in the name of their god.
The prisoner thing was wrong. We (U.S.A.) as the leader of this war should be better than that. We should set the example, not become part of the problem.

I would like to make a distinction....
the God you are refering to is same as mine, and i can say one thing, it is NOT ok by "that" God that you are refering to, to kill innocent or any people. Islam teaches of forgiveness and compassion and peace. These people's are Terorists and are using Islam and discracing (spelling) the religion.
All of the true Islamic leaders do NOT support them and all of the religios Imams (islamic priests) are speaking against the terrorists.
I just wanted to make that distinction between the two!!
Thank you!

Alright Enes, straighten me out if I have heard wrong. Doesn't Islam say to get rid of other religions? I think it is meant to convert them to Islam, not to kill them though. I think the extremists just interprit it wrong. I know Islam is meant to be a peaceful religion.

I meant nothing personnal about that towards you in any regards. It was a statement in general. As with anything like this, there is a good and bad side to it. :grouphug:

No, it is not stated anywhere to get rid of other religions, but to co-exist with others. And not let them corrupt the traditions of Islam.
But then again i am not the expert on islam, i was a minority the whole life so i still have a lot to learn. But from what ever i have read and learned in my life about Islam is respect for other religions.
I've never claimed that Islam is the "right" religion like the two priests that came to my door after father passed away. Their explanation is that he wasn't following Christianity and he didn't let Jesus take away his sins thats why he suffered thru concentration camp and died from cancer... lets just say that i had to use every last effort to controll myself not to jump on them... 2 days after my father passed away they come to my door and try to convert me to Christianity and dis respect my religion like that! :censored:

This is starting to get of topic and go into an area I don't think we should get into. :naughty:
I have respect for all religions and beliefs. If we start getting into this too deeply, somebody will be get offended to some degree, whether accidentally or not.

We're having a calm discussion over the different relgions in question here, what gives? Honestly, Mike...
We all know that Enes is Islamic, and the majority of everyone else here is Christian. I was a Christian for the majority of my life (key word: was) and learning about Islam and how it relates to what's happening in Iraq simply can not hurt any of us. Has or will the the media ever teach us anything about Islam like what Enes has? Hell no. It's people like him who we must rely upon to give us an unbiased factual representation of what's going on. Shutting the doors on a peaceful conversation like this is rediculous.

Sounds just like the Jehovah's Witnesses that repeatedly visited me when I told them that I don't believe in a god. The one guy got quite frustrated when I refused to give in, and his wife standing next to him was speechless.

I know this is a calm discussion. But even with that Enes has felt the need to defend his religion and that's something I don't think needs to become an issue. Talking about this will make some people uncomfortable. That's all I'm saying.
