I just bought an evo out of Oklahoma city. What’s the likelihood that I can make it back from there to MN on E85? Currently the car I bought only has an e85 only tune. I’m going to bring my laptop and Tactrix cable, so I can at least rescale injectors for gas. Turn the boost down and limp it home. But as always there is Murphy’s law and something may fail, laptop or cable, who knows and I will end up trying to push the 15% LTFT leniency with some gas on a e85 tune. Has anyone made a long distance trip on e85 only, if I remember someone on this fourm may have went from Texas to MN on e85??????

Can probably plan with this interactive map for any stops.

Maybe bring a extra fuel container, I bet there are plenty of people here who have em from when they converted to E.

That’s what I was thinking too, maybe some extra fuel containers. That site is awesome, hopefully it’s up to date. Thanks!

I routinely carry four 5gal cans in my trunk for track days. You could put even more in the back seat if you wanted to.

I don't remember seeing any e85 on 35, but I can say I was looking for either.

I did this trip 4 times last year.
The first gas station in KS from OK, has E85 so you should make that, that should get you into kansas city, MO where you can E85 again, then you will be in IA where E85 is plentiful.
I used this site:

Good luck, any link to the car I might of seen it while I was down there.

I shouldn't even need to try to plug in my laptop! Although I will pack a 1-2 of 5 gallon cans in the trunk just in case.

Looks very nice, it does say he has a 91 octane tune too though.

Unfortunately it requires a flash. I asked if it was map switching.
