With golf season just around the corner (hopefully) I think it'd be a great way to kick off the spring/summer months with a little forum golf outing. I have a feeling that there are quite a few golfers on the board and think with enough lead time we could throw together a pretty good day.

Obviously the date is the biggest factor next to the ever-so-changing MN weather. No sense in planning anything for the next 6 weeks. But maybe a late April or early May date?

As far as a course goes I feel that we should choose a nice enough course that we don't have to worry about pitted fairways and crab grass invested greens, but affordable at the same time. Some courses I have in mind are:

1) Keller
2) Hiawatha
3) Manitou Ridge
4) Oak Glen (I worked here for a number of years and know the GM pretty well so I think I could swing us a good deal on a group package)
5) Oak Marsh
6) Prestwick
7) Phalen

Lets here your guys' suggestions! Maybe go play 18, then go out for dinner and drinks afterwards?

Here is a comprehensive list of Minnesota golf courses.

Pshhh, who cares about what score you post up! It's more about the socializing than the golf itself! A little pre-gaming will definitely be in order too.

Count me in. Drinking on the course is not only recommended, it is highly encouraged.

I think finding a course that is going to be n00b friendly is an important thing too. Nobody likes playing a 7200+ yard course their first time.
