We have had some tornados get kinda close, and it's getting crazy up here. What about everyone else. We are in the ROgers/Elk River area.

We just drove back from Inver Grove and hit some major hail. Stupid idiot drivers are parking under the underpasses trying to avoid the hail. But they are cutting people off to get under there and parking halfway out in the lane of traffic. Morons!!!!!!!!!!!!
I trashed the thread. I saw what was coming and said fuck it. :D

I left Plymouth around 5:30 just as the shelf cloud was rolling in. Saw a huge lightnight strike somewhere west of 494 in the highway 55 area and hightailed it out of there. Heading south on 494 I saw a huge cloud of dust ahead of me, and a pickup pulling a big camper almost lost it just ahead of me as the gust of wind hit it. Onto 394 heading east, dust was passing me as I was doing 60-65, just barely outrunning the front. Trying to get onto 94 was a joke, backed up a good 2 miles. The heavy rain, wind and hail came, anyone and everyone was pulled over under every bridge overpass on the way to St. Paul. I turned off onto the first street just before Front Ave. and there was a tree completely blocking the road, from curb to curb. Turned around, went down the next street, drove down the alley and saw a bright light reflecting off the QPR windows... A power light was arcing right next to the bar across the street, as bright as when you weld. Hung out with Josh and Mike for a while, once the rain subsided we ran into the neighbors outside and inspected the damage. There were shingles laying between the houses that didn't belong to any of us, and there was a tree down the street that was hit by lightning. Most of the tree fell and took out a chainlink fence and did minor damage to a pickup, and the top part of the tree was completely detached from the trunk and was blown a good 20 feet from it. The barber shop nearby had the tin roof torn back a little, and random trees here and there blown down. Luckily nothing happened to our own personal property. Hopefully all of you are safe and sound as well.

Well, it went pretty nutty here as you could tell from Matts thread I am sure. The power was out since about 4:30. Stuff was flying around all over and the wind was strong enough to move our extremely heavy dumpster about 12 feet into a neighbor ladies new Buick Rendevous. Only a small scratch on the car so that wasn't too bad, but it sucked when Josh and I ran out in the hail to move it off her car. He was going "ouch owww oh damn" all the way into the house (what a sally!) He managed to suffer though it long enough to put his car cover back on the stealth as well. It's all about priorities. I got lucky and decided to work on mine today so it was in the shop for the whole thing, good timing I guess. The other project 1g took it fine. (like anyone would notice damage on it anyway)

the stealth lived :).
I wasn't ouching for me, I was just aware that every hail chunk that thwaked me in the head also hit my poor car, as I wasn't fortunate enough to beat you to the open bay today.
All is well, neighboorhood looks like a leaf infested warzone, but heck, we did save some money on the electric bill :).

Nothing has hit here yet, but the storm is headed straight for BVU. It's starting to lighting pretty badly and I can hear all the beer cans left over from the weekend rolling around. Hopefully the weathermen lie, because my car is sitting outside with no cover or garage and 2 inch hail is in the forcast :( Other then hail, I love storms!
