The stock tune is awesome on those cars. You can pick up a good 50-70whp just from tuning them and doing no mods.

Mlomker you can see used the SAE correction factor.
That sheet was from the Fall `09 dyno day.

What correction factor was used? I don't see it on the MAP dyno sheet. Mlomker you can see used the SAE correction factor.

Project GGX huh? What did I win off the Facebook comment contest?
:)
Haha didn't know you suggested that, I told Dan we should call it that before the "contest" but I'll see if we can't get something over to you!
Naw, just means he'll have 10 guys working on the car to minimize the downtime...and all of the parts choices will be bizarre, depending on which vendor gives him free stuff.
Basically just like the Evo X in Modified magazine. ;)
It will progress slowly, but to accomplish our goals she's going to need a built lower end :) And the majority of the parts will be MAP this time around, we learned our lesson in that regard lol.
Solid numbers though. MAP - have you baselined any other 100% stock X's?
We've had some come through but we can't recall any names, we need a Cobb like system to keep track by car lol.

Woot for another X in town!
My advice, convert to e85, keep the tune conservative, have fun on the stock turbo w/ bolt-ons for a bit. AutoX the thing (let's organize!). Have fun with it! Do a stock-frame turbo upgrade (perhaps something custom? ;) ) and push the stock bottom-end a bit. Do some IM testing w/ your rev2/rev3 products, a ported stock TB, and the boomba 75mm guy (see the current TB discussion in the tech section) and see what does what. Maybe even a SMIM?
IDK, just focus on wide powerbands and reliability. That's what make evos evos!

We're now in the day of cast :)

Muahaha here we go, get ready to move this discussion to a new thread!
Two of the four best performing manifolds (that I've seen) for the evo8/9 are SMIM, the other two are cast, one of which is a ported stocker. Granted, the SMIMs have a ton of CNC parts so they are not just pure sheet metal, so I think with MAP's fab department a SMIM would be a real trick piece that I'd love to see tested out (with various TB's). :D

You do realize this is a parts development mule, don't you? I would guess the BPU mods have already been beat to death. I'm guessing this thing is going to go big real soon because there's not as many parts available for that crowd. Besides, Chris has a pretty nice daily driver in case the GGX is in the shop for an extra day or two.
