Leaking freeze plug, and bare wire?

So I'm in the middle of a head replacement and there are a few things I've found that are concerning me and thought i'd get a second opinion.

First, looking at the back of the block, it seems like one of the freeze plugs are leaking. There is a fluid stain trail down the back of the block, coming from it. I should replace this, right? Should I replace all of them? How often do they leak? Best way to knock it out, is it hard?

Second, There is a bare yellow wire on the harness that goes to the alternator plug. Any idea what this is for?

I think the wire is for the power steering. The frost plugs are thicker than they look. You have to pretty much wreck them to get em out. Easy to replace though. If the others are not leaking I would not worry to much.

I'm actually just gonna grab a block heater and stick that in that spot :) daily driver yo!

Looks like the coolant tube running from the waterpump needs a new seal too.

There is a male single post connector on the pump itself. (almost looks like a vacuum port)

yeah, it just got one with the new water pump. Still looks a little wet there, but it hasn't run yet.

That looks like a starter wire to me, looks to far down to be a P/S wire, Is there anything not working or acting funny on the car?

it is a p/s wire. The starter is on the opposite corner of the engine.

I was going to put the block heater in the one that was leaking, but there wasn't enough clearance inside for the heating element. So I punched another one out, and put a new plug in the leaking location.
