Nice.
So next question: MAP made 640whp on the DW300 on a 1G rewired...peak power was at ~6300rpm. Does it take more fuel pump flow (or injector for that matter) to make 640whp @ 8000rpm vs 6300rpm?
640whp is the same amount of airflow which requires the corresponding amount of fuel whether it's 3000rpm or 10k rpm. :cheer:

I don't know about Evo's yet, but on 1G's, rewiring the pump was one of the first five things you did.

Not true, not all engines share the same BSFC.

Please elaborate?

Shane has implied that it does but it seems like a complex calculation on a boosted car. Fuel pumps usually have worse performance at higher pressures and boost is often dropping in higher rpms. I don't like math. lol.

That might be true if you're talking large displacement NA versus small displacement turbo, but since we all have the latter, I'd say it's a safe assumption.

Just my .02
False statement baised in that graph?!
We have tried the DW and its everything its cracked up to be, the aeromotives are not available(will start shipping next week) and we have not tried one out yet but I am sure we can them for something like $165ish. Either way the DW out performs at all fuel pressures vs the Aeromotive.

Thanks

The real fucking question is the modded wally still the best pump at 75psi?

75psi is weaksauce Nate, Its that 85-90psi range I'm worried about ;) J/K In any case DC clearly has some mis-information and likes to use my account to spread it all over the internetz. I don't know that I would trust an aeromotive backed test as the be all, end all though...

Aeromotive on left, Walbro on right. Apparently the polarity of the pins on the Aeromotive is backwards. Thread Below
